What resort of Bali is better to choose?

There are a few main resort beaches in Bali where there are many hotels and private villas. There is no a single advice how to choose the coast there, but we can give the following recommendation and characteristics of some places:


Nusa Dua is the most popular coast among Russian tourists. This is a long sandy beach with lots of big hotels including the network of international hotels. In general Nusa Dua can be characterized as: a good place for those who prefer a beach holiday on the sun loungers, for whom it is important to "feel at home", high level of service, great site, as well as many shops, boutiques. It is located on the eastern side of the island so you can watch the sunrise!

Sanur is one of the quietest beaches in Bali. This is an old resort, which is famous for good beaches, the largest site, as well as good opportunities for water sports. It is also located on the east coast.

Jimbaran is the respectable resort on the western side of Bali, it was settled on the place of fishing village. Jimbaran please people who like elegant leisure because there are a lot of expensive hotels and luxury private villas here. Coastline of Jimbaran is famous of its numerous fish restaurants (by the way, very inexpensive) which are located directly on the ocean and tables which you can use to enjoy freshly prepared lobster or sea bass are right on the sand.


Kuta is the biggest and busiest resort of Bali which is located near the airport of Denpasar. Life boils here all day and night and if you like parties, surfing and shopping this place is for you! Of course not to get tired of the bustle you can come here only to the night but if your soul yearns for music, dancing and fun you will hardly get it in Nusa Dua ...
In Kuta you'll also find plenty of surf schools for beginners where you may try a board at first time.
To the north of Kuta its "extension" is located - Legian and Seminyak - the quieter areas, but also with the atmosphere of surfers parties and lovers of night life. There are more clean beaches, less people but also these places have a wave for beginners, surfers, and many small shops with cheap souvenirs and clothing.
Seminyak is also known for good expensive villas and many very unusual restaurants on the beach.


Lovina is Bali's northern coast where you will find peace, serenity and incomparably small number of tourists. Beaches are unusual here: the black volcanic sand that can surprise and disappoint so take note of it. In addition Lovina is known as a place where you have the opportunity to watch the life of dolphins (for this purpose special trips are arranged).

Ubud is a village in the heart of the jungle, in central Bali. This is a special place for those who want really unusual solitary rest. There are hotels that combine the highest level of service and design. There are hotels in which swimming pools are directly over the jungle opening a breathtaking view. It is a wonderful place for a romantic solitude as well as meditative relaxation.
