Cienfuegos, Cuba
Cienfuegos, which literally translates to “one hundred fires”, is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Cuba. The locals call this port city “The Pearl of the South”.
The Urban Historic Centre of Cienfuegos is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There you will find outstanding architectural objects such as the Santa Iglesia Catedral de la Purísima Concepción (Holy Church Pure Concepción Cathedral), Triumphal Arch and the Tomás Terry Theater. The city’s architecture is an example of coexistence, harmony between heritage and modernity – you can verify it and see with your own eyes if you pay a visit to the city.
Located in the suburbs of Cienfuegos, the Guama Indian Village is no less beautiful than the city itself. The amazing scenery steals everyone’s breath away, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself taking snap shots of everything you are passing by. If you prefer more exotic surroundings, pay a visit to the Crocodile Farm. Believe us, no one will prohibit you to take a few snap shots of its inhabitants.
