When is the best time for visiting Cyprus?
Cyprus is interesting and magnificent island with picturesque views and monuments of the ancient history. This wonderful country is situated in the Mediterranean Sea, what makes it attractive for the tourists from all over the world. It is worth a visit at any time, but summer is the most preferable. Sunny weather actually starts in the middle of the spring. The season lasts till the middle of the autumn and its temperature is not lower than +25°С.
At the off-season, for example, in May or November, the weather is already warm, but not for swimming in the sea, so it would be better to take an excursion tour. These months are ideal for those who prefer to spend their holidays without crowds of tourists. The weather can be quite cool, precipitations are possible, but it won’t prevent visiting different sights. The late autumn or in winter you may have a great time skiing in the Troodos mountains. Mount Olympus becomes a real place of pilgrimage. All these winter activities can be combined with visiting of neighboring villages – taste a local cuisine and buy some souvenirs. February would be interesting for a trip to Limassol. There you can admire or even take part in the enchanting and bright carnival.
